How to Add a Blog Post Using WordPress and Elementor Template

In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to create a blog post on your WordPress website using the Elementor page builder and a pre-designed template.

Step 1: Log into Your Website

Open your web browser and go to your website’s login page by typing your website domain followed by “/wp-admin.” For example, “www.yourwebsite.org/wp-admin.”

Step 2: Access the WordPress Dashboard

Log in using your credentials, and you will be taken to the WordPress dashboard, the backend of your website where you can make edits.

Step 3: Navigate to Posts

On the left side of the dashboard, you’ll find a menu. Click on “Posts.”

Step 4: Add a New Post

Select “Add New” at the top of the page to create a new blog post.

Step 5: Provide a Title and Save as Draft

Add a title for your blog post and make sure to click “Save Draft” on the top right side of the screen to save your work.

Step 6: Edit with Elementor

Once the draft is saved, look for the blue box that says “Edit with Elementor” and click on it. This will take you to the Elementor editing interface.

Step 7: Access Template Options

Within Elementor, you’ll see a dashed rectangle with three icons. Select the center icon, which looks like a folder.

Step 8: Choose the Template

A list of templates will appear. Select the template labeled “newsletter template” (Note: In the video below, “sample template” is used, but “newsletter” is the updated template you should choose).

Step 9: Customize the Template

The template will load, and you can now edit all the text and content to create your blog post.

Step 10: Publish Your Post

After making your edits, click “Publish” on the bottom left of the screen to publish your blog post on your website.

Reminders:

  • When using the website as a template, you can right-click to access options, including the ability to “undo” changes.
  • Add a photo to your post by selecting the gear icon on the bottom left and “add image”.
  • Always remember to click “Update” to save any changes you make before leaving the editing screen.
  • If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to email info(at)nopalitonetwork.com for support with your website.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully created and published a blog post using WordPress and Elementor with a pre-designed template.
