“From technology to science and dance, the 2024-2025 JustArts Fellowship cohort aims to create a space for groups who have been overlooked.
The fellows have to identify a problem within the campus and broader Tucson community and propose solutions using the arts to encourage positive change. This year’s cohort can expect hands-on experience in project planning. “

“Only 2.2% of Pascua Yaqui tribal members have their own business, including both incorporated and unincorporated ventures, according to the United States Census Bureau’s 2022 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates. Among these businesses, very few have an online presence.
We are thrilled to announce that Nopalito Network has been selected as a participant in the prestigious 2024 MIT Solve Indigenous Communities Challenge! Our innovative approach to empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs through technology and digital skills training has earned us this incredible opportunity to collaborate with global leaders and make a lasting impact.

Nicolette Gomez wasn’t sure what she wanted to study when she graduated high school in 2009 and started thinking about college.
Nopalito Network is the organization tackling the digital divide head-on with the Yaqui-Tech Innovation Lab. This program runs a 4-week, intensively, no-code website building using WordPress on the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
