About the Role:

We are seeking a Program Assistant to join our team at the Yaqui-Tech Innovation Lab. You’ll be the driving force behind the successful rollout of the Yaqui-Tech Innovation Lab, a program dedicated to empowering Pascua Yaqui entrepreneurs through technology. If you’re passionate about community development, technology, and problem solving, we’d love to hear from you!

This position will begin as soon as possible and end at the conclusion of the Yaqui-Tech Innovation Lab program with possibility to continue into the future as new programs are developed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and administration of the Yaqui-Tech Innovation Lab program.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure logistical elements run smoothly, including venue coordination, equipment setup, and scheduling.
  • Act as a liaison between students, instructors, and community partners to facilitate effective communication.
  • Provide hands-on support during workshops, info sessions, and the graduation celebration.
  • Help manage applications and participant inquiries, ensuring a seamless registration process.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining program materials, including instructional content and marketing collateral.
  • Monitor program progress and assist with data collection for reporting purposes.
  • Address any issues that participants or team members may face, providing timely solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in computer use, including word processing, Google Chrome, and presentation software
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, team oriented environment
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, with a willingness to take initiative
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends, when required by the program timeline
  • Must be available Tuesday, May 28 at 5:00 pm; Saturday, June 29 all day; and all Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the month of June (See dates below)
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work. (See address below

Desirable:

  • Experience in educational program administration or community outreach.

  • Familiarity with website development and design principles. Including graphic design.

  • Understanding of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and small business owners.
